After a semester of events in the spring, planning and meeting for the fall, we now begin teaching. Classes (see blog below) at the library start at 4 PM on Tuesday -- we should be ready to go with our coding club, please bring a laptop if you have one, and Islands of the Imagination will be in full swing.

For our first day at Kite's Nest on Wednesday morning, please come at 10 AM. Drop off your children and sign up for the semester or please feel free to stay for the day or as long as you want. You and/or your children are welcome to try out our activities before committing to a semester. You can give it a try and decide after a day.

Social studies, math and singing will be for all ages for this first week only, then break into groups by age for the rest of the semester. In social studies, we will play a game to understand the dynamics of the global financial crash. In math, we will start at the beginning and find out about pre-counting number sense in humans (and animals) and play some function machines. In singing history, we will begin to learn some of the songs of the 1930s.

Let us know if you have any questions or concerns. Hope you can join us.

  1. Very well said that learning is essential, and school is optional. I have also done event coordinator course from a reputed college and I have learnt lots of things during my courses. Anyways thanks for sharing such a great blog.
